It's also about understanding how and where prospects will find your message. 35 year olds won't be looking at hard newscopy on Sunday mornings. 65 year olds won't be searching online through the 5th most popular social network. Today, it's all about the niche.

Not so long ago we posted a virtual tour of a home on both Facebook and Twitter that we had listed for sale with the tag line, 'have you ever seen a kitchen like this?' Another Realtor in the midwest was curious, looked at the tour and liked what she saw. As a courtesy she reposted the tour to her network (much as we might do for her on other occasions). One of her contacts had a best friend who was drving across three states that upcoming weekend to buy a home in the Indianapolis area as a result of a job change. We'll never forget sitting at the closing table with that very buyer, having her hold up her Blackberry and tell us she watched the tour of her future new home at a restaurant in Illinois as a result of that social network post.

Every situation is different. Every marketing effort is different. In today's world, being able to recognize how and where to reach the right connection is paramount. Niche marketing is so narrow that few players truly understand it and end up wasting enormous time and effort with no real chance of success. Selecting the right person to market your residence is not about one neighborhood, one home or one city. It's telling the right story in the right place to reach success as reasonably quickly as possible. At few other points in our history is time so important to your financial outcome in the real estate market. Choosing right person to guide you through that path is crucial. We'd love to tell your story and help you move on to the next destination in your life in the most effective way possible. We look forward to speaking with you for a marketing consultation on your home.
